WET-EDGE POOLS
Unlike traditional pools where the waterline is approximately 100 millimetres below the coping, wet-edge pools are filled to the brim. The wet-edge design uses a cantilevered reservoir to capture pool water as it overflows and is gravity-fed into a holding tank before being recirculated through the filtration system. In the pictured project, water tanks are used to harvest rain for automatic water level top up, making this pool as sustainable and as it is stunning.
In the second example below, an infinity edge pool draws one's eye to the stunning views while the spillway doubles as a landscaping feature. In the third example, an indoor pool is the perfect situation for a wet-edge design.
