Project summary
Designed by Shaun Lockyer and set within the 'Este' luxury beachfront residences at Wategos Beach, this project features two elevated pools with transparent acrylic floors that bring natural light into the outdoor living spaces below.
With complex engineering requirements and extremely tight tolerances, the structural steel cages for each pool were partially fabricated off-site before being craned into position. Acoustic isolation systems and high-performance waterproofing were also essential to the build.
The pools are finished with crazy pave travertine coping and surrounds, while the interiors are fully tiled and incorporate custom transparent acrylic viewing windows.
